Hello Sunshine

Can you tell that I'm really loving the stamp sets I got? hahaa. I have so many ideas! This idea isn't very original though. I had saw so many people doing it and I thought it was so adorable that I had to do it for myself anyway. Of course I put my own twist on it, but it's very inspired by this card over at Christy Gets Crafty.

I first stamped the clouds in the background using Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I then stamped the 'wire'  and the birds in black archival ink. And embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder. I paper pieced the birds and then popped them up with foam adhesive.
The sun was a last minute addition because it was looking a little plain to me. It was die cut from the Spring Showers lawn cuts from patterned paper.
I love the dimension you get from popping up the birds but still having it stamped underneath. (It's also a great trick so you can get the little feet). I've been doing a lot of one layer cards recently; I really like the Clean & Simple look you get.

Oh Happy Day!

Hello all. I have another card to share with you. For this one I started out by stamping the balloons. Since I used distress inks and the images are so solid they are a little splotchy. So I stamped directly over top a second time to get a smooth flawless image. I went around the edges with a black dotted line to make them stand out a bit more. I then stamped around those with two different cloud images, a solid and a dotted.

I stamped the bunny on a piece of patterned paper and cut it out. I used the same black pen to draw the the balloon strings. I used a piece of paper as a stencil to get the grassy hill. To finish it off I stamped the sentiment in black ink.

Baby Shower

Two days in a row? Whoa. I'm on a role. hahah.
So today I got two new stamp sets delivered to me, and about a week ago I got a new die set, all of which are from Lawn Fawn. (Go Check out Bonnie's blog; she is the lovely lady who got me the die set among other things: http://bonnielynnsblog.wordpress.com/ )
So logically I had to get playing with it all right away and this is one of the cards I came up with! I love how it turned out! Absolutely adorable if you ask me.
I took a piece of water colour cardstock (I seem to be going through that like crazy lately, anyone else?) and I used my water brush and distress ink to lightly get a puddle look at the bottom of the cardstock. Then I paper pieced the duck and umbrella with various 6x6 papers. (Supplies Are listed down below) I popped them both up with dimensional adhesive.  I second generation stamped the grey outline clouds, also with distress ink and die cut two clouds. I absolutely love the stitched outline on them!

I finished if off by stamping the sentiment and the rain drops and inking around the entire piece with distress ink as well! I love the paper pieced duck and umbrella! It's adorable and a lot easier then watercoloring it in!

Hello; It's Been a Long Time

So, I haven't posted anything since February. FEBRUARY! I've still been making cards I just haven't gotten around to post anything. But Today I have a card to share. It was super easy to make but I loved how it turned out!

I started off with a piece of water colour paper. I ripped some pieces of washi tape and put them around the edges of the cardstock to create a border. Then I used two colours of distress inks and created a water colour background. Then I stamped these flowers in a gold ink and went around the edges with the same ink.

My favourite part of this card is the sentiment. I didn't have a small enough 'Hello' that I wanted so I went into some book paper and cut the letters I needed and pieced them together to get the sentiment I wanted! I love how it turned out!
