Gingerbread Holiday!

Hello, hello,
I just love how this card turned out. Everything just came together. It was a crap ton of fussy cutting, so definitely not one I will be making a lot of. haha.
I paper pieced everything haha. I started off with the house then stamped and cut out the gingerbread men and the trees. I cut a slit on the side of the door so I could tuck the little gingerbread man behind.
I inked the background with distress inks and stamped a few snowflakes along with the sentiment. I even cut out the little blue accents on the dress! Dedication. ;)  I cut two snow banks from white card stock and then adhered everything together. Some with foam dots, some flat. I also doubled up the foam dots on some pieces, To finish it off, I added my Clear Wink of Stella to the trees, gingerbread man and the tops of the trees, added some pearls and matted it onto a white A2 card. I tried to capture the shimmer for you. You can kinda see it on the gingerbread men. Everything just really worked together well. A short and sweet blog post today, hope you enjoyed!

Simon Says Stamp Haul!

Who doesn't love happy mail? My day was completely made when I came home to this! haha.

The first thing I got was the Clearly Besotted Honeycomb stamp set. this video by Kristina Werner really sparked my interest in this stamp set.
I ordered my first couple of SSS ink pads! I don't really know why I ordered Coral Reef though. haha. I'm not a huge orange fan. It was random choice. But oh well. I'll make use of it!
I ordered Peeled Paint because when I was going through my distress inks I didn't have a good green to stamp trees in. I had Pine Needles, but it has such a strong blue undertone to it. So this one is perfect.
 Pretty self explanatory. haha.
I don't know why it took me so long to hop on the Wink of Stella train, but man am I ever glad I did. haha. It's definitely worth the hype!
A cute and sweet little stamp. I ordered this with the intention of using it on gift tags!
This stamp set is so fricken cute and has been on my wishlist forever. Didn't get the matching dies though which is sad. Being on a budget sucks haha. (ps. A card will be going up on Monday featuring this stamp set)
Okay, I didn't realize how much I loved every single one of Avery Elle's stamps! They're all perfect! They have such a unique look to them! This one is Storybook. And they just came out with a 'part two' and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Because you can never have too many snowflakes, right? haha. And these ones by Lawn Fawn have the cutest little stitching detail!

(InLinkz is being weird. The Stitched Snowflakes and the Coral Reef inkpad would not come up. I don't get what's going on haha.)

Glittery Gold Autumn Leaves

Oooh fall is in the air! This is the prettiest season by far. Golden leaves, crisp weather, wheat fields and cozy sweaters! :)
For this card I started with a piece of cream cardstock. I used white modelling paste (but actually looks translucent. I really need to invest in the Wendy vechhi one. haha) through a Heidi Swapp stencil. I let that dry and moved onto the leaves. I did the same thing that I did on my last card haha. I stamped using the reverse side of the stamp and then used the right side with a darker colour. I sprayed each one with a gold colour shine.
I fussy cut them all out. I heat embossed the sentiment and cut banner edges. I took another leaf stamp and stamped it in gold ink so they're just peaking out behind the panel.  I layered everything together and that was it! It's a very classy and elegant card! I definitely will do more of these haha. The only downfall is fussy cutting out all the leaves. They're such a pain!

(Again, I used recollections cardstock and couldn't find a link to the modelling paste I used, So I linked to alternatives which in my opinion would be better anyway! haha.)

Happy Fall + SSS Wednesday Challenge: Stamp it.

Hello all. For this card I started with the little chipmunk. I stamped him on some craft cardstock and then stamped him again on patterned paper (Unfortunately I used Teresa Collins Now & Then 6x6 paper pad and couldn't find a link ANYWHERE to it. I checked everywhere.) to get his tail and tummy. After I had him all paper pieced I used a leaf from a Hero Arts set and actually took the reverse side of the stamp to get a solid splotch of ink and then used it the right way with a darker colour of ink right on top. (Did that make any sense? haha. oh well.)
Then for the background I took a tiny leaf and acorn stamp and stamped them repeatedly across the whole card base in different colours. Then I stamped and cut the sentiment and adhered it flat and popped up the leaf and chipmunk. I also rounded the bottom corners!
I love the patterned paper I chose for the chipmunk. Besides the fact that it looks absolutely adorable. The words on it are also really suited towards the holiday. Like 'thankful'. It really is the little details! haha. Hope you enjoyed!

Modern Baby Card.

This card is very Julie Ebersole inspired. I love her style! It's so unique and fresh and different!
To start I inked a piece of cardstock with various distress ink colours and then used a Heidi Swapp stencil and some gold spray. I then stamped the elephant in black archival ink.
For the background I used that same stencil with Brilliance Gold ink and also splattered some of that same gold mist on the background. I white heat embossed the sentiment and popped up the elephant piece and that was it!
A very quick and simple card. I love the softness of the inked piece against the boldness of the background!
